When was the last time you stopped and took stock of where you are and where you are headed? Is it time to step off the path to find a new way forward?
Disruption is simply opportunity under pressure, kind of like Little Red riding hood dressed as the wolf. When you see the wolf what do you see? What do you feel? What do you think? Most importantly what is your natural instinct to do?
Mindfulness has taught me much about how to see things as they are, rather than as I would prefer to see them through my own bias. Sometimes clarity is not instant but can take time to rise to the surface from your subconscious. By taking the time to stop and refocus, you allow yourself to continue forward in the right direction.
In life, it is never too late to change direction, or even to sometimes seemingly begin again. It requires a little courage and fortitude to do what is right for you. When your purpose lines up for you, your life can change in ways you never imagined. Never be afraid to take the first step off the path. Even though sometimes the first step of the path seems incredibly hard, the next ones will be easier and easier as you progress.
Life can often feel like a room with the same fixed view. The room you see yourself in has only the walls you have created in your mind. When you use mindfulness to step off the path you are giving rise to the opportunity for those walls to disappear completely. Then the real magic happens and all that was outside of your view suddenly appears.
So if you are feeling stuck or just treading the same path because you think you can’t change paths. Take a deep breath and step off the path. Ask yourself, It is time to sit on the sidelines and take a look around? You might be pleasantly surprised at just how beautiful the view becomes.
Perception can change everything in life. Mindfulness can help you to broaden your perception in your everyday life so that you can pivot and change with ease. Then the next time when you see Little Red riding hood dressed as the wolf, you might respond differently. The wolf may be an opportunity rather than a disruption. When you achieve this life becomes very different indeed.
If you want to know more about how to step off the path, drop the walls and not be scared by the wolf, book a mindfulness session with me today. Is it time to take on the wolf?
